This article explains how the Trade Copier reacts when a protection or target condition is met. All protection and target tools use the same Trade Copier Modes, which determine what happens when the trigger value is reached.
Trade Copier Modes
Disable Copy
Stops copying new trades while keeping existing trades open. The copier status switches to OFF and must be manually reactivated. The account is also removed from its template.
Close Only
Copies close orders only. No new trades will be copied. The copier status switches to CLOSE_ONLY and must be manually reactivated. The account is removed from its template.
Close All & Disable Copy
Closes all trades and stops copying new trades. The copier status switches to CLOSE_ONLY and must be manually reactivated. The account is removed from its template.
Daily Stop Loss
When the Daily Stop Loss value is reached, the Trade Copier switches to the selected Trade Copier Mode.
Protection Types
Daily Net Loss Amount
Triggers when total net daily losses exceed a chosen dollar amount.
Example: Stop copying when today’s losses reach $500.
Daily Net Loss %
Triggers when net daily losses exceed a set percentage of the Daily Start Equity.
Example: Stop copying if daily losses exceed 5%.
Daily Drawdown Amount
Triggers when equity falls by more than a chosen amount from today's highest equity (Daily HWM).
Example: Trigger when equity drops $700 from today’s peak.
Daily Drawdown %
Triggers when equity falls by more than a chosen percentage from today's highest equity.
Example: Trigger when equity drops more than 7%.
Daily Take Profit Target
When the Daily Take Profit Target is reached, the Trade Copier switches to the selected Trade Copier Mode.
Target Types
Daily Profit Amount
Triggers when net daily profits exceed a chosen dollar amount.
Example: Trigger at $500 profit.
Daily Profit %
Triggers when net daily profits exceed a set percentage of Daily Start Equity.
Example: Trigger at 5% daily profit.
Stop Loss Protection
When the Stop Loss Protection value is reached, the selected Trade Copier Mode is applied.
Protection Types
Absolute Equity Stop
Triggers if equity falls below a fixed threshold.
Example: Stop copying below $1,000 equity.
Net Loss Amount
Triggers when total net losses exceed a chosen amount.
Example: Trigger at $500 total loss.
Net Loss %
Triggers when net losses exceed a set percentage of Start Equity.
Example: Trigger after a 5% loss.
Drawdown Amount
Triggers when equity drops by more than a set amount from the all-time High Water Mark (HWM).
Example: Trigger after a $700 drop.
Drawdown %
Triggers when equity drops by more than a set percentage from HWM.
Example: Trigger after a 7% drop.
Unrealized Loss Amount
Triggers when open position losses exceed a set amount.
Example: Trigger at –$300 floating loss.
Unrealized Loss %
Triggers when open losses exceed a set percentage of Start Equity.
Example: Trigger at –10% floating loss.
Take Profit Target
When the Take Profit Target value is reached, the Trade Copier switches to the selected Trade Copier Mode.
Target Types
Absolute Equity Target
Triggers when equity rises above a fixed threshold.
Example: Trigger above $1,000 equity.
Net Profit Amount
Triggers when total profits exceed a chosen amount.
Example: Trigger at $500 total profit.
Net Profit %
Triggers when total profits exceed a set percentage of Start Equity.
Example: Trigger above 5%.
Unrealized Profit Amount
Triggers when open profits exceed a set amount.
Example: Trigger at +$300 floating profit.
Unrealized Profit %
Triggers when open profits exceed a set percentage of Start Equity.
Example: Trigger at +10% floating profit.
